Nobody may have known how the new year was going to begin when the world heard of the then-nameless novel coronavirus on the last day of 2019. The illness, COVID-19, has destroyed more than 340 thousand lives and affected millions more in just months.
Countries and regions across the world have taken extraordinary steps – to meet coronavirus guidelines, from city-wide lockups and widespread quarantines to extensive transportation and industry prohibitions.
COVID-19 has already changed how we respond to a crisis. Health services are unable to deal with extraordinary challenges, and in countries like the U.S where a sluggish government solution has driven millions to a sense of instability, already suffering from school and job cuts, reduced work, and social divisions.
The question still remains on how we will all emerge on the other side of this worldwide pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has generated problems in our everyday lives that were not ready for such change. While we each do our best to help stop the spread of coronavirus disease, we are always able to do more, and supporting front line workers is a big step in the right direction.
You can help humanity by making a difference such by following these coronavirus guidelines:
Guard yourself and others against Coronavirus
Since COVID-19 has never been observed in humans before, there are currently no vaccinations to take or medications to cure COVID-19. The best approach to reduce infection is to limit exposure (or exposure to others) and the virus.
Stay at Home. Prevent direct interaction 1.5 Meters or (about 6 feet) with people, even if they don't look ill. Many individuals with no signs of the virus are still able to transmit the Coronavirus.
Fraudulent Coronavirus Research, Vaccination, and Care
Some individuals and businesses are selling goods with false statements for detection, prevention, and care of COVID-19. Fraudulent COVID-19 products can come in several types, including dietary supplements and medications, other medical devices, or even vaccinations.
Note, there are currently no vaccinations to avoid or medications to cure COVID-19 licensed by the FDA or any other administration.
Eliminate Panic Buying
Given this enormous rise in demand, there is no reason to purchase more food than your family will afford over the next week or two. There is no national lack of food, but the availability of some items in the local grocery stores could be reduced until shelves can be re-stocked. Partially, because of the decisions made by consumers at the start of the pandemic, out of fear has left some items still unavailable or out of stock.
We can beat this pandemic if we all be responsible and stick with the coronavirus guidelines provided by governments and health organizations. We will get through this, not just by saving ourselves, but also the people around us as well.
